Sleeve Stripes Patches

Sleeve stripes are used instead of chevrons in some areas of the United States to represent the number of years a person has reached an achievement.  For example, a senior varsity football player that had made the varsity squad four years in a row would have four sleeve stripes on his letterman jacket.
